I’m a reconstructive urologic surgeon who also cares for cancer survivors. Cancer survivorship care focuses on providing patients and families relief from the symptoms, pain and distress that may develop after and during cancer therapy. I became interested in pelvic floor disorders because of the emphasis on improving the quality of life. For most pelvic floor disorders – bladder, bowel, sexual dysfunction, or vaginal bulge – there are usually multiple treatment options with different pros and cons.
